An immersive experience in the heart of Bath — five surfaces, mapped edge to edge. From frost to flame.

You come in off Milsom Street through a winter corridor, and out into a waiting room dressed with the same care as the show itself. Punchdrunk meets Christmas: the world starts at the door, not at the curtain.

Act I

Frost

Ice as living mathematics. Crystals bloom across five walls in macro — slow, intricate, impossibly close. The cold you walked in from, made beautiful.

Act II

Sea of Flames

Hundreds of warm lanterns suspended the full height of the hall

A thousand candles that answer you. Reach out and the flames lean toward your hand; move, and embers lift from the walls. The room ends warm.

Act III

Aurora

Liquid light, folded like silk. The northern sky brought indoors and slowed until it pours down the walls around you.

Act IV

Snowfield

A million particles in murmuration. Snow that swells, breathes and turns around you — weather as choreography, wrapping the room in silence.

Before the show/ the wait

Nobody stands on a wet pavement in December.

Guests come in early, to a plush, low-lit room that is already part of the work — deep colour, somewhere to sit, something in your hand, and enough to look at that the production announces itself before a single projector fires. The waiting room is dressed with the same care as the show, because for the first fifteen minutes of the evening it is the show.

The sensibility is Punchdrunk's: the world starts at the door, not at the curtain. By the time the doors to the main room open, nobody is wondering whether this was worth the ticket — they have been inside it for a quarter of an hour already.

Four walls and the ceiling, projection-mapped edge to edge. You stand inside the artwork.

35 minutes

A 25-minute film in four acts, followed by a 10-minute open interval — free to roam, touch and photograph as the flames respond to you.

Every showing is limited to fifty. Intimate by design — no crowds, no queues inside.

Bath Spa station is a short walk. Park & Ride recommended on weekends — the city fills up fast in December.
